Park Hilaria as successful as ever
The eighteenth edition of Park Hilaria attracted no fewer than 450,000 visitors. For the last 10 days in Eindhoven, young and old thoroughly enjoyed the fair ground rides, live performances by various artists and the many welcoming places to eat and drink. Partly thanks to the fantastic summer weather there was a great positive vibe on the site.
The hits
New this year and immediately extremely popular was the spectacular ride Devil Rock. The Airrace Bungee was also very popular with visitors. Museum door de Stad and Park Hilaria worked together during this edition for the first time and this resulted in a number of special rides in which the present, past and future of transport were united and presented to the public in a unique manner. The youngest Park Hilaria fans enjoyed the Park Hilaria mascot Larie Kanarie every day.
Major attraction German style Beer Garden
The German style Beer Garden, with daily performances from Cult Schlager singer Thorsten von Lippe Biesterveld, ensured this edition was extremely popular. The public’s favourite, along with loyal fans and cheerful decor, meant that there was a great atmosphere where many returned evening after evening to enjoy themselves.
Park Hilaria organisers
Each year, the Park Hilaria organisers have the arduous task of bringing together an exciting range of fair ground rides, music and street theatre that appeals to a wide public. This year too they are more than happy with the results. Project leader Mariola Scheepstra: “We are so very happy and proud that together with the operators, volunteers, crew, First Aid and security we managed to create such a great happening again this year”.
Park Hilaria is planned to run from 31 July until 9 August in 2020. You can find additional information about Park Hilaria at www.parkhilaria.nl. You can follow Park Hilaria on social media too.
