Joëlla’s story begins like that of many artists: singing for fun at her local pub — and then things started rolling… but for Joëlla, they rolled fast and hard. She sang a song by Monique Smit, an artist she’s been a fan of for years, at Café Pand 16 in Valkenswaard. After performing 'Twijfelaar' in a packed bar, there was no doubt about it: she wanted more.

At the end of 2022, Eindhoven-based singer Danny Canters performed at that same café, and once again, Joëlla grabbed the microphone and stole the show. Danny noticed her talent and soon after approached her to see if she wanted to pursue music more seriously. With a great team, plans were made and just a few weeks later they were in the studio with Randy Watzeels. A music video followed shortly after — and Joëlla’s debut single was born!

Debut Single
On Tuesday, July 18, 2023, Joëlla launched her very first single. She received the first copy from her idol, Monique Smit. The release took place at the Valkenswaard fair, naturally on a big stage right in front of Café Pand 16 — the very place where it all began for Joëlla.
