Corry Konings

Corry Konings began her singing career at the age of 15. In 1970, she scored her first hit under the name Corry en de Rekels with the song Huilen Is Voor Jou Te Laat. Two years later, she decided to continue as a solo artist. She went on to have hits like Ik Krijg Een Heel Apart Gevoel Van Binnen and Jij Weet Toch Wel Wat Liefde Is.

One of Corry Konings’ most famous hits is Mooi Was Die Tijd. The song stayed in the Top 40 for 20 weeks. In the ten years before its release, no Dutch-language song had stayed that long in the Top 40. It eventually reached number 4 on the chart. However, the success of Huilen Is Voor Jou Te Laat was just slightly unmatched by this hit, and that song remains her most successful single to this day.
